Tampa International Airport – New CT Scanners

MJM Electric was recently tasked with providing power and data connections for Tampa International Airport new CT Scanners. These CT scanners are being installed for the use by TSA for the safety of the travelling public. MJM Electric has been asked to install the infrastructure for the five additional lanes that are to be added as part of this project.

University of South Florida (USF) – Ongoing Maintenance Work

MJM Electric was tasked with the emergency replacement of a 15 kV circuit. MJM Electric, Inc. was responsible with locating and procuring multiple load break and submersible butt splice kits. We demolished/removed and replaced approximately 300 feet of 15 kV #4/0 copper tape cable and did all of the required terminations during one 10 hour shift to meet the scheduling requirements of the customer.

Mosaic- SAP Boot Pump

MJM Electric is installing owner furnished 480 volt switchgear and a VFD cabinet for Mosaic at the New Wales Facility. This installation required the pouring of a new housekeeping pad to set the switchgear and VFD cabinet. MJM Electric is also installing new cable tray and brackets to refeed a new boot pump that will replace existing 2300 volt pump. We are installing parallel 3/C – #4/0 AIA cable to the location of new pump as well as a new pushbutton station and control wiring from new VFD cabinet to DCS cabinet.

MJM Electric is currently working on a Filler room project at Saputo. This project is currently being conducted with 2 different vendors for installation. The first part of this project required the demo of the existing electrical components to the old conveyor system.

Duke Suwannee Decoupler Project- Live Oak, Florida

Duke Energy Suwannee Decoupler

MJM Electric is currently installing close to a mile of concrete duct bank totaling near 30,000’ of PVC conduit at the Duke Suwannee powerhouse in Live Oak Florida. Following Duct Bank installation MJM Electric will be installing two 1500KVA 13.2kv/480 Transformers feeding two new 1500amp services that will provide new power to the site. Once energized, this new gear will feed the site allowing demolition of the existing coal plant that was built in the 1930’s.
